IMAP Netherlands is pleased to announce that MEP, a renowned developer and supplier of voice communication systems for critical aviation and maritime applications, has strategically partnered with Jotron, a developer and manufacturer of state of the art safety communication products and systems for air, land and sea applications.

MEP is a unique acquisition for Jotron, as stated by Merete Berdal, managing director of Jotron AS: “We are excited about the acquisition of MEP, which complements our existing portfolio and enables Jotron to deliver a more comprehensive suite of products and services, enhancing safety and operational efficiency for ATC & Maritime operators worldwide.”

Jotron is a Norwegian company founded in 1967, headquartered in Larvik, Norway. The company employs approximately 350 people. Jotron specializes in the development, manufacturing, and marketing of advanced communication systems and products for critical applications in air traffic control, maritime safety, and coastal communications. Their solutions are recognized worldwide for ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient communication in demanding environments, serving clients in the aviation, maritime, and offshore sectors. Jotron’s commitment to innovation and quality has established it as a trusted partner for organizations that require robust and mission-critical communication technology.

Micro Elektronische Producten (MEP) is a specialized Dutch company that develops and supplies advanced voice communication systems for critical applications in the maritime and aviation sectors. Founded in 1989 and headquartered in Amsterdam, MEP designs robust, scalable, and user-friendly communication solutions that ensure clear, reliable, and continuous communication for air traffic and maritime controllers worldwide. Their product portfolio includes hardware such as voice switches, operator consoles, and accessories, complemented by customizable, state-of-the-art software applications designed to meet stringent industry standards.
