IMAP advises on the sale of Seniorenzentrum zur Eulengasse to Pflegebüro Bahrenberg

As part of a succession solution, IMAP advised the owners of the Seniorenzentrum zur Eulengasse and the assisted living facility on the sale to Pflegebüro Bahrenberg Group (operating business) and Julius Ewald Schmitt GmbH & Co. KG (real estate).

Seniorenzentrum zur Eulengasse, a long-established inpatient care facility in Dortmund, is a family-run business with decades of success in the residential care sector. With this transaction, a sustainable and forward-looking perspective has been secured for the continuation of both the care home and the neighboring assisted living facility—ensuring the high standards of the institution and the well-being of its residents are maintained.

Pflegebüro Bahrenberg Group in Lünen has been identified as the ideal buyer for the continued operation of the nursing home. Founded in 1990, the group is an established player in the care sector and supports people in need of care and their families at 17 locations in North Rhine-Westphalia. With the acquisition of Seniorenzentrum zur Eulengasse, the group will further expand its services in Dortmund, where it already has a strong presence in outpatient care.

The real estate of care home and adjacent assisted living facility has been acquired by Julius Ewald Schmitt GmbH & Co. KG, a family-owned company based in Dortmund with more than 120 years of experience in the real estate sector. With its diverse portfolio including residential properties and social facilities such as kindergartens, the addition of the care and assisted living facilities is a perfect complement.

“We would like to thank the IMAP team who, with great passion, industry expertise and the necessary contacts, have ensured that we have found an excellent partner for the sustainable future of our care facility,» said Mrs Enders-Comberg, shareholder of Seniorenzentrum zur Eulengasse GmbH.

The IMAP team led by Henning Graw, Florian Böschen and Dorian Ellminger exclusively advised the shareholders of Seniorenzentrum zur Eulengasse GmbH in a structured M&A process through all phases to a successful closing.
