IMAP M&A Consultants AG (“IMAP”) has appointed Ralf-Georg Mittler to its Board of Directors with effect from 1 May 2025 and is aiming for further growth. Over the past years, IMAP has established itself as one of the leading M&A advisory firms in the owner-managed mid-market segment. Ralf-Georg Mittler's experience from more than 100 transactions and his strong network in the upper mid-market as well as in numerous corporations make him an ideal addition to the team.

Ralf-Georg holds a degree in business administration and has 24 years of management experience in the M&A division of Deutsche Bank Group, where he started his career 29 years ago. Since 2004, Mr. Mittler has led the M&A advisory team focusing on medium-sized companies. He has extensive deal experience in a wide range of sectors.

“We are very pleased that we have been able to attract Mr. Mittler, a proven M&A dealmaker, to continue IMAP's successful course and further exploit its growth potential", comments Michael Bräuer, Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

Ralf-Georg Mittler is looking forward to the new challenge: "I believe that IMAP is excellently positioned to benefit from the growth opportunities in an increasingly professional M&A market. With its highly entrepreneurial approach, the outstanding sector expertise of the team and its long-established global presence, IMAP is a fantastic platform for mid-market M&A business, which immediately impressed me. I look forward to contributing my many years of experience in structuring and executing M&A transactions and to achieving many more successes together on behalf of our clients”

"We wish our new colleague, who has already impressed us both professionally and personally in our previous discussions, great success as part of our team. We are very much looking forward to working with him", added Peter Bertling, Henning Graw and Dr Carsten Lehmann, the current Board of Directors of IMAP.

With 52 employees in Mannheim, Frankfurt, Munich and Hamburg, IMAP M&A Consultants AG primarily advises medium-sized companies and their shareholders, as well as corporate groups and financial investors, on company sales, acquisitions, and strategic financing decisions. In the last 2 years, the team was able to successfully complete 50 transactions with a strong focus on sell-side advisory. IMAP Chairman

At the start of the year, the outlook for Q1 was highly optimistic, with expectations of slowing inflation, lower interest rates, and improving growth projections. Unfortunately, we live in interesting times. Early in the year, speculation around the disruptive impact of AI on traditional SaaS business models triggered a significant revaluation in parts of the Software sector. More recently, escalation in the Middle East conflict has introduced fresh volatility – pushing oil prices higher, adding upward pressure on inflation, and creating supply-chain uncertainties. While it is too early to tell how these new shocks will eventually affect the global M&A market, we can be sure that our dealmakers around the world are on the ground every day – negotiating, re-evaluating, adjusting positions, and adapting to whatever the environment throws at them to deliver the best outcomes for their clients. They’ve done it for over 50 years, and that’s exactly what they’ll continue to do, no matter the conditions.
