Nicolas Bächstädt verstärkt Partnerkreis bei IMAP Deutschland
Seit Anfang des Monats verstärkt Nicolas Bächstädt den Partnerkreis der IMAP M&A Consultants AG und wird ab sofort den Bereich Distressed M&A verantworten.
Nicolas Bächstädt verfügt über mehr als 25 Jahre Erfahrung in der M&A-Beratung. Er hat rund 100 Transaktionen und Kapitalrestrukturierungen begleitet und ist insbesondere auf Sonder- und Umbruchsituationen spezialisiert. Er wechselt von Stifel zu IMAP, bei Stifel war er zuletzt als Managing Director und Head of Recovery DACH für das Restrukturierungsgeschäft in der DACH-Region verantwortlich. In dieser Funktion leitete er zahlreiche Transaktionen, unter anderem beriet er die Insolvenzverwalter im Rahmen der Insolvenz des internationalen Touristikkonzerns FTI Touristik sowie des Renewable-Konzerns Green City.
Bis zum Verkauf an Stifel war Nicolas Bächstädt seit 2014 Managing Partner bei ACXIT Capital Partners. Zuvor war er unter anderem in leitender Funktion bei der Distressed-M&A-Boutique perspektiv sowie bei Droege International und Ernst & Young (vormals: Andersen) tätig. Der CFA-Charterholder absolvierte nach seiner Ausbildung zum Bankkaufmann ein Studium der Wirtschaftswissenschaften an der Universität St. Gallen (HSG).

At the start of the year, the outlook for Q1 was highly optimistic, with expectations of slowing inflation, lower interest rates, and improving growth projections. Unfortunately, we live in interesting times. Early in the year, speculation around the disruptive impact of AI on traditional SaaS business models triggered a significant revaluation in parts of the Software sector. More recently, escalation in the Middle East conflict has introduced fresh volatility – pushing oil prices higher, adding upward pressure on inflation, and creating supply-chain uncertainties. While it is too early to tell how these new shocks will eventually affect the global M&A market, we can be sure that our dealmakers around the world are on the ground every day – negotiating, re-evaluating, adjusting positions, and adapting to whatever the environment throws at them to deliver the best outcomes for their clients. They’ve done it for over 50 years, and that’s exactly what they’ll continue to do, no matter the conditions.
